Fabrics for Me

After my lymphatic drainage session today, I stopped by the fabric store around the corner because I want to sew myself another lightweight summer skirt. I found something great—a viscose fabric that’s light as a feather and airy. It’s the solid gray one on the far right, so it’ll go with all my tops. While browsing, I spotted some fabric bundles with colorful prints, and at THAT price, I figured I couldn’t go wrong :-)))

I really like the fabric for your culotte skirt. And if it goes well with the pieces in your closet, then that’s just perfect! I hope you have lots of fun sewing.

After all those pretty doll clothes, you’re now sewing something for adults again—that’ll surely feel a bit unusual. But your little dolls are well taken care of for now.

I’m also planning to sew something for myself. I’ve already cut out and taped together the sewing pattern—a short, sleeveless top with darts. But since I’ve never used this pattern before, I’ll have to make a test version with some old fabric first to see how it fits me. None of us have identical figures, so there’s always a need for adjustments.

That fabric bundle must have sparked lots of great ideas for new sewing projects in your head. You just had to grab it. I’m curious to see what comes next after the culottes and am already looking forward to seeing pictures.
