Dear users, dear authors,
the world wouldn’t be half as beautiful without owls. So: crochet more owls, knit them, sew them, knook them, craft them. Everyone should have at least one owl; two or even four would be even better. Get started right away.

Have you crocheted Snowy Owl Hadwig yet?
if not, download it now and then grab your crochet hook.
Fluffy Snowy Owl Hadwig - Crochet Pattern

When you’re finished with the snowy owl, you’ll need something colorful too.
Charlotte, the little owl, is sure to be perfect as a small project for in between.
Charlotte - the little chubby owl

and then a few owl keychains too, maybe with leftover yarn.
This will be great. Grab your leftover yarn and get going.

For the very little ones, here is the cute owl sweater Fjodor.

The cute owl Fjodor is crocheted and has found his way onto a knitted sweater here, which is also very doable for beginner knitters. The pattern is simple and explained step by step. Fjodor himself is also manageable for brave beginners, because with over 48 pictures and plenty of explanations, you just need to keep track of everything.

The sweater needs 200 g or 350 m of yarn (here MyBoshi No. 2 caramel - cotton with kapok) and is knitted with a 4.5 needle. Fjodor is crocheted from the remaining skein and 10-15 g cocoa, ivory, and vanilla, then sewn on.

  • Approx. 120 grams of cotton yarn in your desired colors
  • Crochet hook 3.0 mm
  • optional: 2 D-rings 25 mm
  • Basic crochet skills
  • Basic sewing skills
  • And of course fun and a little time :)
Here’s the offer.

Wouldn't you like to have this cute owl named Eliot too? A great eye-catcher in your home or a wonderful gift for all owl fans.

Size:
With the specified hook size (2.5), Eliot is between 13 cm and 15 cm tall. With a larger hook size or yarn weight, he will of course be
correspondingly larger.

Stitches used:
You only need to know chain stitches, single crochet stitches, slip stitches, and a magic ring.
With knowledge of the listed stitches, definitely suitable for beginners.

Material:
- Crochet hook size 2.5
- approx. 60 g yarn (depending on yardage and weight). E.g. Catania by Schachenmay
- safety eyes/buttons or similar
- stuffing

Owl booties for the little ones. The booties are relatively quick to knit and make a great little gift for an expectant mother, a birth or christening gift, etc.

And here is another pair of super quick and easy-to-knit slippers. They’re also very well suited for beginner knitters with basic skills. Right now, they even come with an introductory discount.

And for those who still can’t get enough, I’d like to recommend these two clever little owl children to you:

1) Mia, the quirky math owl

Little Mia is a math whiz. She counts and does sums all day long with her chic little beaded tail. And what she loves most is helping children who are just starting school feel just as at home in the world of numbers as she does.

Mia is especially suitable for crochet beginners, since she can be crocheted quickly and easily from a few leftover yarn. She makes a wonderful little last-minute gift or small present for a child’s first day of school celebration, and at 8–10 cm tall (depending on her hairstyle), she even looks great as a keychain or bag charm.

To make her, you’ll need:
  • Cotton yarn in various colors, approximately 125 m/ 50 g
  • Crochet hook size 3.5
  • 2 black 5 mm beads
  • 20 wooden beads, 10 mm, in at least 2 different colors (5 beads in each color)
  • Wool needle
  • Filling material (e.g. craft batting or sheep’s wool)

The pattern for Mia, the Math Owl can be found here:

2) Leonie, the Learning Owl

Leonie, the little first-grader, is very proud of her stylish new school bag and her colorful school cone, and she’s already really excited about school and all the fascinating things she’ll learn there.

Equipped with so much joy and energy, Leonie would love to conquer the world of letters and numbers together with your little first-grader and master all the adventures of everyday school life.

If you use the following materials, as I did, Leonie will be about 18 cm tall and have a wingspan of up to 21 cm:
  • Cotton yarn in various colors (I chose red, orange, green, and blue), yardage approx. 125 m / 50 g
  • 3.5 mm crochet hook
  • 2 black beads, 8 mm, or 2 safety eyes
  • Stuffing material (e.g., craft stuffing or sheep’s wool)

You can find the pattern for Leonie, the Learning Owl here:

This knitted giant owl blanket for babies and toddlers is the ideal piece for colder days. It is knitted as a slip-on blanket. So, for a change, it’s not a mermaid blanket, but equally suitable for boys and girls. Knitted with thinner yarn, you can also stuff the owl and use it as a sofa cushion. An ideal gift for owl fans.
For the slip-on blanket, I used yarn with a yardage of 152 m per 100 g and size 6 needles. But you can also work with leftover yarn.

Little BOO always comes in handy ♥
The little owl is made with Catania cotton and a 2.5 mm hook and ends up about 7 to 8 cm tall (and wide). It works well as a bag charm, keychain, car decoration for the rearview mirror, a charm for a daycare backpack, a school satchel ...

The owl not as an amigurumi this time—but dressed up on a warm jacket

In the original, the motif is knitted in using Norwegian technique. If you prefer an easier option, you can also embroider it onto the finished jacket using duplicate stitch.

The pattern is available for sizes 48-52 through 58/60. Click on the image and get it!
