My very best wishes for a speedy recovery from me, too. Your body knows the germs at home, so you can recover there in peace—it’s better than being in the hospital.
Thank you so much for all the well-wishes and advice! Patience—especially when it comes to movement—isn’t exactly my strongest suit, and a lot of my movements happen completely automatically. Luckily, they were able to correct the narrowing without using screws. Now I just need a little patience and to give up cycling for a while!
Dear Christina, I, too, hope you’ll get well soon. Yes, healing takes time, and your body needs extra care right now. Give yourself this time and just do lots of nice things that make you feel good.
I hope you get well soon. I’m scheduled for an L5-S1 fusion in July, and I’m a little nervous. But it makes sense that you can leave the hospital so quickly these days and are supposed to start moving around again soon after surgery. Back in the day, you were supposed to stay in bed for weeks after something like that. Don’t push yourself too hard and let everything heal properly. :)
You’re always a little nervous before a procedure like this… My confidence in the experienced—and also friendly and empathetic—surgeon really helped me. I hope you get through the surgery well and can enjoy a pain-free life again afterward.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you! Best wishes
