Save Money & Knit It Yourself: Knitting Cozy Shawls

How can you save money when knitting cozy shawls ? Do you have any tips and tricks you’d like to share? Especially now that spring is just beginning, it can still get a little chilly at times, so a warm and soft shawl is definitely a good idea.

Mod tip: You can save by using leftover yarn , with the store credit account discount , and possibly also by using patterns on sale or on special offer. Can you think of any other ways?

If you knit or crochet a lot, you probably have something in your closet that you’ve never worn. Unravel it and turn it into a beautiful shawl.

If you have a lot of colorful leftover yarn, it might not be enough for a solid-colored shawl. But even lots of colorful leftover yarn can still be turned into a shawl or scarf. This is a great way to use up even small leftovers, and you don’t have to buy new yarn. Plus, you’re guaranteed a one-of-a-kind piece!

It looks really nice if you pick out a few colors that go well together. Then you collect all the leftover yarn in those colors. The quality doesn’t matter. The more varied the yarns are, the more texture the scarf will have. Since we have so many different yarns, we only need to knit knit stitches—that’s all it takes.
