Dear Community,
Do you have a nice embroidery project going on right now and would you like to share your own photos of it?

I’m still working on my picture. Right now, I’m embroidering motif 7

Almost done. Just one more snowman and a little snowflake

Now I know why it’s still winter outside! The weather gods are showing their solidarity. As long as dear Petra keeps embroidering winter motifs, it’ll stay winter. Even though I’m looking forward to spring, these embroidered winter motifs are really beautiful. But right now, I’m craving something colorful!

Love, Ina

You can see my love for spring colors in my current crochet project:

Yes, Ina, I’d also rather sew something for spring. I’m picturing tulips.

But I’m sticking with my design—otherwise I’ll end up with yet another UFO, and I really have more than enough of those.

Your colorful granny squares really brighten my day

That’s very commendable, Petra! Once you’ve started a project, you should see it through to the end. Otherwise, you’ll just end up feeling dissatisfied. That makes you look forward to your upcoming spring project even more. It’s still winter, after all ;-)

Love, Ina

Petra, how many motifs are you embroidering on it? From what I can see, there are nine,
so you’ll be finished soon.

I’m working on my seashell wreath. I’m gradually on the “way back.”
I’ve been working on this design for soooo long; now it should finally
be finished. I feel the same way as Petra: I really don’t want to create a UFO.

Once I’ve finished the cross stitches, there will still be quite a few backstitches to do.

Yes, there are 9 designs in total. My ice skates are almost done—just one more design to go.

Your seashells are very pretty. What will it be once you’re done embroidering?

My winter picture is going in a picture frame—that’s the plan.

While taking photos today, I thought it might make a nice pillow. But my husband wasn’t too thrilled with that idea. He’d like to showcase the embroidery design in a stylish frame.

I’m sure you’ll find the perfect frame for your winter-themed piece, too 👍🏻.

This is going to be an 80th birthday card (where you’re not supposed to notice the 80 right away 🙂)

That little bear design is so cute! Are you just sticking it onto a blank card, or are you making a mat card?

This is going to be a mat card. You can buy them ready-made, because I wouldn’t be able to cut it out that precisely myself.

Ruth, the card is going to be AWESOME!!!

I’m currently embroidering a few cuddly little pillows for the Kt, and then I’ll sew them—you’ll get to see the finished pillow then, too :-))

Best wishes, Inge

And here’s the finished little pillow; it’s 30 cm x 25 cm, just big enough to cuddle and snuggle with.

Best regards, Inge

I’ve started a mosaic blanket.
It’s really fun. I received the blue yarn as a gift. The cream-colored yarn came from a jacket I never finished.

These are all such wonderful creations—so much more than just embroidery projects. Everything is so creative!

Ruth’s card with the hidden “80” is absolutely lovely! The numbers are cleverly hidden as balloons, presented by a cute teddy bear. That’s a really clever idea and is sure to bring joy.

Inge’s cuddly pillow for the children’s charity is absolutely adorable, too. Even though it only has a face embroidered on it, it instantly puts you in a good mood and makes you want to give it a hug. It’ll probably go fast. I’m afraid it’ll need some little siblings :-)

I find Petra’s winter scene very atmospheric. There are so many enchanting little motifs to discover—you can’t take it all in with just a quick glance. You have to linger to really enjoy it.

And the blue-and-cream mosaic blanket by Galadriel-60 looks truly special, too. That’s a real eye-catcher of a pattern! How big is the blanket supposed to be? And will there be enough yarn? With a two-color blanket featuring such a striking pattern, you can’t just switch to a different yarn at the last minute.

I just came out of my sewing room. No, I wasn’t embroidering either. Instead, I was hand-sewing Easter surprises. I’ll show them to you on the sewing blog once they’re finished.

Have a lovely evening, everyone, and warm regards to all—Ina

The blanket should be about 90 x 110 cm. The yarn will be enough. Otherwise, the border will be a different shade.
Have a lovely Sunday, everyone.
