Slipping stitches onto a circular needle

Hi,
does anyone have a knitting hack that prevents stitches on the circular needle cable from constantly sliding back toward the right needle? I’ve been using a foam rubber stitch stopper as a “stitch brake,” which I place behind the last stitch, but the cable is too thin, so the stitches slide back along with the stopper. (I should probably mention that I’m knitting using the “traveling loop” method, where—unlike the “magic loop” method—you only have one “traveling” loop on the cable, not two.)

I’m bumping this up again. Maybe someone else would like to add something.

So, as a temporary solution, I’ve now used a cord stopper with a strong spring, which I thread behind the last stitch of the round. That actually works pretty well.
