Socks, socks, socks—tons of them :-)))

I cleared out my sock drawer and took a look through it—wow, I was really blown away by all the socks I had in there, though not all of them made it back into the drawer—I had to get rid of 10 pairs.
In the photo, you can see 38 pairs, and then 2 are in the wash, and I’m wearing one pair :-) I don’t really need to knit any more for the time being :-)

Dear Inge, it’s actually a shame that you already have so many knitted socks—that means you don’t have to knit any more. But it’s also nice to know that you’re well-stocked. Maybe you could switch to knitting socks for the children’s food bank—instead of sewing stuffed animals. Then you’d have some variety in your crafts. You can always knit on the couch in the evening, but you can’t sew.

@Ina, we don’t do any crafting in the evenings in front of the TV anymore. My husband thinks I have plenty of time for that during the day, so I should give myself—and my eyes—a break in the evening. He’s right, because there are days when I sit there from morning till night, with just a break for meals, crafting away; at some point during the day, it’s time to call it a day. Right now I’ve got another hat in the works, since they’re always in demand and needed.
That said, I really can’t stand the sight of socks right now—or knitting them, for that matter.
I’m getting my new glasses this coming Thursday, so I plan to sit down at my embroidery machine again and do a little embroidery.
