Potholders are usually among the first projects for crochet beginners because they are generally very easy to make. You’ll also find a selection of various designs in my shop.
Milk Jug and Coffee Cup give the kitchen a nostalgic touch, as they’re reminiscent of Grandma’s polka-dot coffee set. The potholders are crocheted in double layers so you can slip your hand through the opening at the top. The polka dots are crocheted in as bobbles as you go. If that’s too complicated for you, you can also embroider them on later.

For the
Polar Bear and Penguin potholders, you’ll need a bit more practice, as you’ll be crocheting with several colors at the same time. The unused thread is carried along and crocheted over, so you won’t have to weave in as many ends afterward. The pattern explains row by row how to proceed. There is also a chart you can follow.

Too wintry? Would you rather crochet something for spring already? How about these
Easter Egg Potholders with Tulip Pattern?
Crochet them in delicate spring colors. These potholders are also worked in double layers. There is a chart for the pattern.
