What’s your current favorite yarn?

Dear community,
which yarn do you currently prefer working with?

I still prefer cotton the most, both for amigurumi and for light summer sweaters or tops.
But now I’m also going to knit myself a thick, cozy jacket using Katia Reiki—it’s a really wonderfully fluffy, soft yarn.

When I knit socks, I always use Regia yarn.
It holds up really well, so it’s worth the effort.

Whenever possible, I knit with pure wool (except for socks).
It keeps you warm, even when using thin yarn.
The lint that ends up in the washing machine or in the wastewater is guaranteed to be biodegradable—it doesn’t pollute the oceans or kill marine life.
Sweaty wool garments don’t smell, unlike clothes made from poly-whatever.
You also don’t have to wash them after every wear; as long as there are no stains, airing them out is enough. 
And washing is no problem. Modern washing machines have a wool cycle that’s gentler than some hand-washing methods. Use shampoo or wool detergent to prevent damage to the fibers. And at the end, spin them vigorously—that helps them dry faster. Wringing by hand causes wool to felt, but spinning does NOT damage it.
