Happy holiday: Are you doing something fun today?

Do you have any plans for today’s holiday? Have a great time, everyone. 

Good morning! Yes, today we’re taking down the Christmas tree.

It’s going to be pretty warm here today—+10 degrees—and maybe the sun will come out a little. So I’m planning a walk to the lake. Then, of course, a little crafting. Sewing, embroidery, or crocheting—I haven’t decided yet.

My niece is coming to visit me today—we’ll be doing crafts and chatting a lot.
In the evening, I’ll keep working on my embroidery.

It’s not a holiday in every country—at least not here in Brandenburg. But that’s okay. I’m a freelancer, so I set my own hours and work all the time. But for me, work and my hobby go hand in hand, so I don’t really need a holiday to take the day off. To everyone who has the day off today, I wish you a particularly wonderful day.

It’s a holiday in Bavaria, but since I’m retired, it doesn’t matter whether it’s a holiday or a regular day—I’m always off anyway. :-)
I’m going to take a siesta now because I slept very poorly last night. The drastic temperature change caused my asthma to flare up again, and I had to use my emergency inhaler. I kept waking up—I always call that a restless night. Afterward, I want to keep knitting my socks.

It’s not a holiday here in North Rhine-Westphalia, but I don’t really care since I’m not working anymore anyway. It’s sunny here with a high of 15 degrees, though very windy. And it’s supposed to get frosty again soon—a typical Cologne “staged winter.”

It’s not a holiday in Hesse either.
I went shopping at noon today.
The weather here is supposed to be similar to what Veronika is experiencing.
