Saving with and through Handicrafts

My friend told me that last year she knitted 32 pairs of socks and put €2 into a piggy bank for every pair she finished. With the money she saved—and a little extra on top—she and her husband went out to dinner at the end of the year. That’s one way to spend the money, but you can also invest it elsewhere, like in more yarn or fabric, etc.
I’ve started doing this too, but I’m going to put €2 into the piggy bank for every finished item—let’s see how much I’ve saved by the end of the year :-) I’ve already got €4 in there for the two felt coasters :-)

Well, when I think about all the work you do for the Kindertafel, you’ll be rich by the end of the year! :-)
But it’s a good idea—I could start doing that too. Off the top of my head, I couldn’t even say how many things I make in a year.

That’s a great idea—I’m going to do the same with the money from my sold cards.
I already have three new orders.

I’ve now hand-sewn a felt piggy bank for the money. I’ll put €2 in there every time I finish something.
