In January, lots of colorful things were created in my workshop again. I documented everything for you in words and pictures so you can make them yourself. Here’s what I made:
- a blanket to knit
- something for the little dolls to wear and
- a sewn drawstring bag with lining.
I hope you enjoy looking at them and making them yourself.
Warm regards from Ina
1. The Softest Baby Blanket in the World
I knitted this soft blanket for my granddaughter 2 1/2 years ago. To me, it is the softest yarn in the world—that is, the softest yarn I could find in my yarn shop. If you want to know which one it is, you’ll need to click on the heading. In the blog post, I’ll tell you, and also explain how the blanket is knitted.
2. Oversized Mini Dresses for Dolls
You can knit these charming little mini dresses with dropped shoulders from just a few grams of yarn. They are knitted in one piece from the bottom up. At the end, the shoulder seams are sewn together. The little belt with the pretty buckle completes the look.
3. Sewn Drawstring Bag with Lining
Small bags are always handy for storing, transporting, or stocking up on all kinds of bits and bobs. You can also use them to wrap gifts beautifully—then you don’t need any paper, and the recipient gets a bag along with the gift that they can reuse. The bags are quick to sew from a few fabric scraps in any size you like. They are super easy to open and close with the drawstring.
