...this coming Thursday, just like my husband, I have my final checkup for the cataract surgery; today was the second follow-up, and my vision was already over 50% of what it used to be, so the new glasses can be measured and fitted. It went faster than I expected, but on the other hand, it was about time—after all, this has been going on since August 6. I probably won’t get the new glasses this year, since the holidays are coming up, but right at the start of the new year, we’ll have total clarity and a clear picture again :-) There’s hardly a better Christmas gift :-)
That’s wonderful, dear Inge! I’m so happy for both of you. In the new year, you’ll really have your vision back in full. Not everything in or on our bodies can be repaired so successfully, but at least eyesight can be when it comes to cataracts.
We’ll also benefit from your new sharp vision in the form of sewn or knitted craft projects. You’re right—a wonderful Christmas gift!
Oh Inge, I’m so happy for both of you. That’s certainly true—there’s no better Christmas present.
Now you’ll both have a clear view again *grin*, but good health is so important these days.
So I wish everyone a happy Third Sunday of Advent (is that right?), wow, time sure does fly.
