Good morning! I’ve been knitting for years for premature babies, newborns, and the homeless, and more recently, I’ve been making “Dementia Mittens” (fidget mittens) for people with dementia.

What exactly are dementia muffs?

I hadn’t heard of this before either!
Every button, every tab, every bead, etc., can bring back memories.
For people with dementia, it’s important to feel things with their hands, because the sense of touch stimulates brain cells.
Engaging with the different elements on the muff can have a meditative and calming effect.
