How do you celebrate St. Nicholas Day?

Do you do anything special on St. Nicholas Day, or not really?

Not at all, because there aren’t any little kids in our family anymore. It’s a day like any other; the only thing I’ll do is fill my “sweet tooth’s” :-) St. Nicholas stocking with treats

It’s not a special day here either; we don’t do anything different than we do on other days.

Our son-in-law’s birthday is on St. Nicholas Day. So we always celebrate St. Nicholas Day as a family, with St. Nicholas boots for our grandson and good food and time together for the adults.

This year, our grandson started at a new school, and they’re singing at the Christmas market. So this year, our St. Nicholas Day birthday celebration begins with an Advent sing-along.

Now that the kids have left home, St. Nicholas Day is just like any other day.

We don’t really do anything special here anymore either.
However, I do leave a little bag for my grandson by the door.
