Quick Advent Projects with Scraps

Advent begins on Sunday. If you’d still like to do some crafting for Advent , need a great Advent calendar , or want to make an Advent wreath or Advent arrangement , it might be a good idea to try out a quick pattern using leftover yarn . In any case, I hope you have fun .

Sunday is the first Sunday of Advent. There might still be time for a really quick project using leftover yarn. 

An empty plastic shell from a surprise egg, a crochet hook, and a few leftover pieces of yarn—that’s all you need to crochet this cute little surprise-egg angel. You can flip the upper body open to hide a sweet surprise inside its belly.



The star-shaped tea light holders make a festive decoration for the Christmas table. I used leftover Catania Glamour here—a cotton yarn threaded with a glittery silver thread. In colors other than green and red, these tea light holders can also be used for other festive occasions, such as in white for a baptism or First Communion celebration.




Do you like things nice and colorful at Christmas? Then rummage through your leftover yarn box and crochet this cute little star elf! You’ll only need about 20 g of cotton yarn for one elf. Give the elves as pincushions or hang them as a colorful garland on your front door!
