Happy weekend / Drop-off deadline for Operation Christmas Child / First Sunday of Advent is coming soon

Dear users, dear authors,
have a wonderful weekend, everyone. Today is the drop-off deadline for Operation Christmas Child. Is anyone taking part? Advent is coming soon. Are you finished with your Advent calendars / Advent wreaths? 

I only know Christmas in a Shoebox from the internet, but I don’t take part.

I haven’t made an Advent calendar in a long time either, since no one wanted one. It’s actually a shame — it was always a lot of fun, mainly for the children back then.

I’d like to start baking next week and, of course, decorate the apartment. I’ve already started embroidering Christmas motifs.

I wish all of you here a wonderful weekend, too!
“Christmas in a Shoebox” is a great initiative—I’ve participated many times myself. This year, a friend had to handle the drop-off for me; I just “helped out” financially.
The Advent calendars are already here; the one from Lacritza is already set up. It’s in the office, set up around the desk, and right now that’s the only room that’s already decorated for Christmas. The living room is still dominated by pumpkins, and there’s nothing in the kitchen yet—we’re still waiting for the plumber because the faucet is broken, and these days that takes a while....
But by the first Sunday of Advent at the latest, everything will be decorated for Christmas—the outdoor decorations on the balcony are always the last to go up. The days are gloomy enough as it is, and we’ve already had our first mulled wine, so we’re ready. :-)
