Dear users, dear authors,
dear little elves,
what are you working on right now? Are you working on a UFO, have you started a new handmade project, or are you crafting for Advent and Christmas?

Neither—nor! I’ve already finished all my Christmas projects, I don’t have any UFOs, but I’m having trouble with a pattern. I wrote to the author on Friday, but haven’t received a reply yet, so it’s just sitting there for now.

I tried out a little light house for decoration at lunchtime today.

Tonight I’ll be embroidering on the blanket again.

I’m still very clueless about Christmas gifts at the moment. So far there has only been one wish, and I need to buy suitable fabric for it.

@Veronika,
I can contact the author for you if you give me the link to the pattern.

I’m in the middle of knitting a snowman without a pattern, just from my head, and I’m curious myself to see what it’ll look like when it’s finished :-)) It’s going to be big, because I cast on 80 stitches and am knitting with a size 3 set of double-pointed needles

Best regards, Inge

Zigzag scarf; I can knit it comfortably in bed.
Recently sewed a heart, but then got frustrated because it wasn't symmetrical. No sense of achievement before that either, so the sewing machine is resting for now.

Oh, that would be so sweet, Josefa. It’s this pattern:

Bean salad and bread ready for dinner

Now just embroider the last motif on the blanket, and then off to the sewing machine

You’re all soooo hard at work. But I also think November is the perfect time for crafts. We’re all so lucky to have such a wonderful hobby and never get bored.

I’m currently making gift tags out of Fimo Air. It’s a lot of fun, and you can use different techniques. Now, though, I have to wait 48 hours for them to dry. Then I can color them, add glitter, and/or decorate them further. Today was a dress rehearsal, because soon I’ll be making some with my grandson.

Love, Ina

Well, Ina, your pendants already look great as they are—they’ll definitely be beautiful in all those colors.

Best wishes, Inge

Those pendants are really chic. And are there stamps to go with them?
I still have some colorful modeling clay lying around here that you can bake until it hardens. I never got past the prototype stage. But if there are cookie cutters and patterned rollers like that, I might give it another try...

Why not just use cookie cutters?

Hi,
today I made a Brussels sprout tart for lunch and baked two loaves of spelt bread. The breads are made from a super-simple yeast batter that doesn’t even need to rise. I think that counts as handmade, too.

As for knitting, I’m in between two projects—one finished, and no new one started yet.

Woolly greetings
Irene

Baking and cooking also count as crafts.

Anja, you can also use a rolling pin and crocheted doilies. It doesn’t look as pretty as Ina’s (the star looks great and I really like it), but I’ve done that with my grandson using cookie cutters, too.

Thank you very much, and yes, that’s exactly what I’m doing.
