Which Christmas tree do you like best?

which Christmas tree do you like best? A real tree, plastic, a crocheted tree, or a handmade tree? 

A real one.

We’ve been getting it from the garden for years. It’s quite an adventure, but it’s an event for the whole family every year. 

For years now, we’ve only had artificial Christmas decorations—at most, a hand-tied Advent wreath or a few sprigs in a vase. On the balcony, we have a weatherproof plastic tree; in the living room, there are snow-covered little trees on the floor; and the smaller decorative trees are crocheted.

I prefer a real fir tree. Not too big—somewhere between 1.50 and 1.0 meters. That way, I can decorate the tree without a ladder.🎄🌟

We only have a small artificial tree now, mainly because of space constraints. Our little tree is about 40–50 cm tall, and it’s perfectly sufficient.

We always go with a real tree.
Back when we lived in my father-in-law’s house and the living room had a ceiling height of 4.5 meters, the tree was often 3 meters tall or even a little higher.
Now we “make do” with trees that are between 1.80 meters and 2.20 meters tall.

We always have real trees. We especially like pine trees, which are actually pretty rare. But they have a charm all their own—it’s like having a little bit of Canada or Sweden in your living room.

If I had the space, I’d go with an artificial one.

I enjoy looking at real trees in the garden, in parks, and in the woods.
