Working with Yellow and Orange: Capturing the Summer Sun

In this doll hammock with stripes in the vibrant colors of brown, yellow, and orange, the little doll can get cozy even in winter and dream of summer. The hammock is very easy to crochet and can also be varied in size, so that even small stuffed animals can fit inside. As you can see, the little polar bear finds it very cozy, too.



A market bag in the colors of a sunset! If you’ve never tried Tunisian crochet before, you might want to give this origami bag a try. It’s called that because you simply crochet a rectangle, which is then folded like origami and sewn together. This makes the bag very easy for beginners to make. All you need is a Tunisian crochet hook. Everything else is explained in detail in the pattern.



Autumn colors, in particular, bring a little bit of summer feeling into our living rooms. You can make this cute pumpkin child using just a few leftover pieces of yarn in brown and orange. It measures about 12 cm and looks great in any autumnal decoration. I’ve arranged it with a few other flower children from my collection to create an autumnal seasonal table display:
