Advent 2024: Start preparing festive designs now

If you’d like to do some crafting for Advent and Christmas, it’s about time to get started. In the shop, you’ll find charming Advent calendars, Advent wreaths, and Advent centerpieces. Shop now and get started right away.

2–3 patterns per author are enough. Don’t forget links, images, and other details. All patterns featured in this thread must have at least 10 sales and a conversion rate (CR) of at least 2%, and they must not have been featured in the forum within the past 3 weeks. 

Since making Advent calendars takes some time, usually exactly when you’re already busy with Christmas preparations anyway, it would probably be better to start right away.


 
The written-only pattern for this Advent calendar does not show how the individual cube elements need to be assembled, but it’s not hard to figure it out by trial and error. The simplified cube model included with the patterns and the product photos will also help you build the cube.

This Advent calendar is made from cardstock and measures approx. 12.5 x 12.5 x 12.5 cm.

How about a very special handmade card for your loved ones?

The assembly instructions (PDF) include the templates in their original size so you can cut them out by hand with a craft knife. The download also includes an SVG file for use with a hobby plotter.

The finished card measures approximately 10.6 x 10.6 cm (depth approx. 4.4 cm); when folded, it measures approximately 10.6 x 15 cm (fits a C6 envelope).

You can make a slightly different Advent wreath / Christmas wreath with my knitting pattern.
You can use it to make doilies / dishcloths / napkins / washcloths etc.

The pattern is written out row by row and stitch by stitch.
A chart is also included in the pattern, as well as
many different gift bands to print out and label.

A whole fir forest as an Advent calendar! The little trees can be crocheted in different sizes and different shades of green. They are hollow inside, so Advent surprises can be hidden underneath.
But maybe you’d also like to make just one little tree as a decoration, or turn them into little Christmas tree egg cozies.

You can crochet these beautiful star-shaped tealight holders from cotton scraps in Christmas colors and decorate your table cozily during Advent and Christmas. With a bit of glitter thread worked in (e.g. Catania glamour), the tealight holders look especially festive.

Leftover yarn with glitter is also especially suitable for these festive Christmas gift tags. They are crocheted around a metal ring, which gives them a bit of weight. This also makes them great as Christmas tree decorations to weigh down dense branches a little. You can also use them as small photo frames. Decorate them however you like with beads, stars, sequins, and colorful ribbons!
