What is the minimum width a scarf should have?

What is the minimum width a scarf should be to be comfortable?

It depends on the scarf, Josefa. A children’s scarf is wide enough at 10 cm; a *standard* men’s scarf is usually 20–30 cm wide.
For women’s scarves, the *standard* width starts at 20 cm, and they can go up to 50–60 cm wide. It also always depends on how the scarf is used—just around the neck, or sometimes as a head covering.

For a regular “plain” scarf that you just wrap around your neck, I think 20 cm is perfect for adults. But I also like wider ones sometimes, which I can pull halfway over my head when it gets really cold.

Das kommt auf die verwendete Wolle an und für was er getragen wird. Ich habe welche mit 20 cm, aber auch mit 50 oder 60cm, wenn ich sie auch als Kapuze über den Kopf tragen will oder wenn sie richtig warm sein sollen.
