Egg cozy can be crocheted quickly from a few bits of leftover yarn. They are an easy way to decorate the breakfast table to suit the season. At the same time, they’re useful too, because they always keep your breakfast eggs nice and warm.

The
“Autumn Leaves” egg cozies are a good fit for the current season. I crocheted the body from cotton yarn (125 m / 50 g), and the leaves, acorns, and chestnuts from leftover sock yarn. They turn out especially pretty if you use yarn with a subtle autumn color gradient.

The
Lucky Mushroom egg cozies also go well on an autumn breakfast table. You don’t need egg cups here, because the stem of the mushrooms is worked tall enough that you can use it as an egg cup.

Of course, the hedgehog is also an absolute must for autumn decorations, especially since this year it’s the Wild Animal of the Year! Here I crocheted it together with the hare as the
Hare and Hedgehog egg cozy. Who doesn’t remember the well-known fairy tale about the race between the hare and the hedgehog? Who will win and finish eating their egg first?
