A garment that you can customize to your individual needs in width, length, color, yarn, etc. is my “old young girl” tunic, which, worked shorter, can pass as a crop top or
longer and wider, even as a dress.
Based on the cut of a pinafore dress for children, this lovely piece was created for adults.
You start at the top on the straps with a double picot cast-on
and that means there are no seams at the shoulders.
You can decide for yourself where to make the pattern change.
I added a tie band above the pattern change.
This lets me adjust the width and immediately see which side is the outside.
It was crocheted with a 4-ply gradient cake in light green with a gradient strand (confetti strand or harlequin strand) and with hook size 3.
Of course, you can also use other yarns and other colors.
