The great thing about this Advent calendar is that it takes up very little space and has compartments of varying sizes. While the latter adds variety, it also presents a small challenge: For the tiny compartments at the top, you’ll need to come up with a particularly small gift.



The calendar is made of photo cardstock, measures approximately 13 x 30 x 15 cm, is very sturdy, and can be reused multiple times. It’s not difficult to make, but it requires careful work and a little time.

These little fir trees are quick and easy to make. You can crochet them in different sizes to create an entire forest of fir trees as an Advent calendar. The trees are hollow inside and open at the bottom, so if they’re the right size, you can also use them as egg cozies.


The Quick Angel really is quick to crochet—just a few scraps of leftover yarn are enough. Use it as a Christmas tree ornament or gift tag!


These Christmas gift bags are suitable for many gifts; you can even use them to wrap bottles. The crochet pattern includes three different Christmas motifs: bells, Santa with his reindeer sleigh, and little fir trees with snowflakes.
