Dear users, dear authors,
have you bought yarn / fabric / materials, or have you stayed strong and are using what you already have?

Of course, you can always find lovely patterns in the shop

I’m on vacation right now and, of course, I brought some embroidery projects with me. Unfortunately, I don’t have all the colors of embroidery thread that come to mind right now.
Even though I have sooo much embroidery thread at home... I unfortunately had to buy a few little skeins 🤷🏽‍♀️😄.

Here’s what I picked up on my shopping trip—I just couldn’t walk past that fabric; it had way too much adhesive and stuck to me and my daughter, too :-))) I’m planning to make some bags out
of it. The yarn is 60% merino and the rest is polyacrylic
—I’m going to make a scarf for myself out of it.

I just bought some lovely yarn again.
And about 10 days later, you had the matching pattern available to download.
And it was free, too. 😀
Thank you so much.😘

And then I ordered something else. I liked the colors. 😊😊

Even though I already have so much at home.🙈

But some things you just can’t walk past.

Have a lovely day, everyone.🦈

Hi,
we just spent a few days on vacation in the northern Black Forest. My husband!!! discovered a yarn outlet. Of course, I had to go in and bought yarn for a cardigan for him, along with matching buttons and a few other things. All brand-name yarns—lots of Drops, etc.
Woolly regards
Irene

I just received some yarn I ordered recently. I’m crocheting a firefly and needed this glow-in-the-dark yarn again for it. And I’m not sure if the leftover “temperature snake” yarn from the end of the year will be enough to finish the patchwork quilt, so I might end up reordering some more.
But I’d also love to visit a yarn outlet or yarn shop again—it’s such a great place to get inspired.

I’ve stayed strong so far and have only brought new ideas to life using what I already have on hand.

I’m getting started on clearing out my stash… We have a house flea market in town on Sunday, and I’m currently gathering up any unwanted yarn.

So far, it’s just the basement. If anyone’s interested, feel free to reach out 🤣.

I really shouldn’t buy any more yarn just because it’s pretty 🙈

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find two skeins of indigo cotton—my grandson’s favorite color—in my (admittedly very extensive) stash, so I had to order them and had them throw in two skeins of raspberry as well, which are now turning out to be too heavy for the baby dress. So I bought another ball of Baby Cotton at our local yarn shop (I’d set aside two more for other projects). But that’s enough for now—I really, really need to work through my stash!

Hi everyone

I’ve made a firm resolution to use up my stash first, because I’m seriously addicted (I probably have about 600–700 different fabrics—almost a better selection than the local fabric store). I have to admit, I’m more of an online shopper. So it’s pretty dangerous when I sit down at the computer and am really just looking for inspiration. I end up browsing for hours and adding tons of fabrics to my cart and 10 times as many to my wish lists (great fabric, but no project in mind right now)—and I do this on various websites. I’ve actually stayed really strong for a few months now and haven’t clicked “buy”; instead, at the last minute, I’ve put it on hold, telling myself I’ll check again tomorrow—and then I’ve let it go and gone to my sewing room to use up what I already have. The only problem is when I run out of coordinating fabric. Then I have to switch to a different project, because more often than not, the scrap box doesn’t have anything suitable left either. That’s why I’ve got a few UFOs piling up. Since I always sew a bit ahead in terms of size (I only sew for my kids and nieces), it’s not a big deal—but eventually I’ll reach the point where I’ll have to buy something after all. But my plan is to head over to the neighboring town to “Rude Ute.” There, you try to get out of the store as quickly as possible once you’ve found what you need.

Since I’m currently crocheting octopuses for premature babies, I had to order more yarn today. Only yarn from certain companies is suitable for this, and I didn’t have any left in stock.
For other projects, I’ve made a firm resolution to work through my huge “yarn mountain” first. So far, that’s been going pretty well!

Since I’ve been sewing a lot again, I can really understand the fabric addiction now. I avoid every fabric store—the selections are just so beautiful.

This spring, there were some really great fabrics with chickens and bunnies. For bread baskets. I almost gave in.

But I really want to use up my mountains of yarn and all my fabric first before buying anything new.

I hope to use up quite a bit of fabric with my blanket. On Thursday, two more were added, so now there are already six in total.

A few days ago, I spontaneously treated myself to two skeins of cotton yarn.

The idea for the project came to me while I was out with my daughter.

I haven’t bought any yarn in quite a while, but I did swap something three weeks ago. I needed cotton for weaving and still had some matching yarn to trade. Now I have 10 skeins of filet yarn 😊
And tomorrow or the day after, a package with craft supplies is on its way. My sister went on a shopping spree and just ordered me something....  No idea what’s coming—I’ll just let myself be surprised.
