Dear Josefa, that’s always the goal. But today is only Tuesday, and the week still has a few days left. We’ll see. Check back on Saturday ;-)

Best regards, Ina

Yesterday I finished a coaster that I started on Monday. This time, I made it out of old jeans.

Then I’d like to keep working on my embroidery. I’m not sure yet if I’ll finish it. We’ll see how the weather turns out.

I don’t think I’ll finish my socks before fall, because I simply can’t see where to insert the needle anymore with the dark colors I chose. I managed to get as far as finishing the heel cap and then moved on to the gussets, but then there was a very dark section of yarn and that was it—I had to rip it out twice because I inserted the needle in the wrong place and the stitches dropped, so I’ve set it aside for now until after my surgery. I just can’t see exactly what I’m doing anymore, so I’m now knitting a hat for the children’s food bank using leftover yarn from my blanket.

Best regards, Inge

No, I probably won’t finish anything this week. The temperature snake won’t be done until December 31, and the thick patchwork quilt is supposed to include squares made from the leftover yarn, so it won’t be finished until early next year.
And for a new amigurumi, I had to order some yarn first—it hasn’t arrived yet.
But I’ve finished knitting a few squares, including some with leftover glow-in-the-dark yarn, so I can cuddle and be found even in the dark. 🤣🤣

Dear Veronika, that glow-in-the-dark yarn looks great! It’s a bit plain in the light, but it looks stunning in the dark. I could also imagine it in a larger size as a play blanket for kids. That would definitely create a special atmosphere at night… a bit like the witching hour.

Dear Inge, don’t be sad that you can’t see the dark colors right now. After the surgery—and if you follow the instructions carefully during your recovery—you’ll be able to see everything again! Then you can catch up on all the knitting and sewing projects that have to wait for now.

Best wishes, Ina

Ina, I’m not too upset about it either, because I almost thought the dark yarn might be a problem, but as the saying goes, “the proof is in the pudding”—it could have worked out after all, but now it’ll just sit there until fall. Oh well, it’s not going anywhere, and it’s not going to eat any bread either ;-) :-) I still have some yarn lying around that I can see and use :-)

Hugs, Inge

Hi Inge,
I can reassure you: after the surgery, you’ll be able to see like a hawk again! I’ve also had two cataract surgeries, and on the very first day after the first one, I realized just how little I’d been seeing before.
And the surgeries themselves weren’t uncomfortable at all, because you don’t feel any pain
