It’s finally the weekend

The week is over, and it’s time for a nice weekend. Do you have plans, or do you just want to relax?

Thanks, Josefa—have a great weekend, too! We’re staying home and making ourselves comfortable. Right now, my ice cream maker is churning my first ice cream: sour cherry ice cream👍🤗. But two more flavors are coming up😁: chocolate and pineapple, so it can get warm—refreshment is taken care of

The weather here is still gorgeous, but it’s supposed to rain here on Sunday as well. My sister-in-law is celebrating her birthday, so I’ll be heading over there—it’s definitely going to be a lovely Sunday, no matter what the weather says.
Tomorrow I’ll bake a cake for my husband so he doesn’t go hungry on Sunday while I’m out. :-)
Other than that, I don’t have anything else planned. When the weather’s nice, I’ve been going for a walk every morning lately, so I’ll probably do that again tomorrow. I’m continuing to crochet the temperature snake, knitting squares for the patchwork quilt, and I have another crochet commission—two little whales—which I’ll deliver soon.
And there’s still a little pile of paperwork on my desk that needs my attention. I’ve been retired since May, but the pile of paperwork is even bigger than it was during my best working days—health insurance and pension insurance are communicating rather slowly; it’s a complete mess.

The weather is nice and hot. I have the weekend off, and I’m going to an ’80s and ’90s party
with a coworker.
It’s been forever since I’ve been to a party like that. I’m looking forward to it.

We’re going to enjoy the weekend one more time. On Monday, my husband is going to a pain clinic for three weeks. Let’s hope it helps somehow. It can’t get any worse, though, since he’s had to taper off his pain medication so they can start from scratch at the clinic. What really surprised us is that we got the appointment so quickly.
So tomorrow, we’ll definitely be cooking. My husband asked for a thick steak with beans. Not really my thing. But that doesn’t matter.
Other than that, I’m working on some patterns right now. But since the pieces have been finished for so long, I’m knitting them myself again as a tester :)

Gardening… SUN… soccer… AND crocheting—what more could you want?

Yeah, soccer.... We’re not really interested in it at all, so I hadn’t even realized there was a game in Cologne on Sunday evening. It only dawned on me when the police blocked off the access roads—but unfortunately, I had to get through there to get home. Luckily, they were understanding and let me through quickly after I gave them my address. I got lucky.
