Hardworking little helpers: What are you working on right now?

dear little helpers,
what are you working on right now? Are you also very busy in real life and with your crafts?

Right now, I’m knitting my leftover acrylic yarn into squares for a patchwork blanket. Since I won’t quite have enough, I ordered some more, and it’s already been delivered. But the blanket won’t be finished anytime soon, because the last scraps will be from the temperature snake, and that won’t be finished until December 31. It’s being made from the leftovers of last year’s temperature blanket—you can never really predict exactly how often it will be cold or warm, so there was a lot of yarn left over, and even the snake won’t use it all up.

I’m taking a break from knitting and the like for now; my wrists really started protesting quite a lot toward the end. I might look for a few craft projects, or maybe fire up my embroidery machine.

I’ve noticed that, too—knitting is definitely harder on the wrists than crocheting. I have a ganglion cyst that comes and goes. When I crochet for hours, even over a long period of time, nothing happens. But as soon as I knit a bit more, it pops up again right away.

I still have some yarn left over from knitting a triangular shawl and a RVO.
Now I’m working on a hat.

Right now, I’m just busy in the garden.

Over the past few years, it’s turned into a bit of a jungle, and I’d like to tame it a little now. 

I’ve been sculpting with concrete again these past few days—the weather was finally nice enough to spend more time outside.
I ended up making a few pots and bowls.
I’m still deciding whether to turn the very flat bowl into a moss landscape or get myself a bonsai—I’ve always found those little trees fascinating. I imagine it would require quite a bit of care, though… we’ll see how it turns out. The curved one already has some moss in it, along with a small piece of ground-covering thyme.

Claudia, thanks for the inspiration. Yes, the weather would be perfect for working with concrete. I’ve been wanting to try making a large leaf into a water dish for the birds for a long time.

The weekend is coming up—let’s see if I can get my hands on a leaf. 

My crafting has taken a bit of a back seat this week: Some projects aren’t quite finished yet, but I can’t finish them while watching TV, and I just started something new because I was still missing the pattern. On top of that, the garden is so overgrown that whenever it’s not raining or too sunny, I’m out weeding. Then there were dentist appointments and the school festival… 

I was planning to take a little break from knitting, but doing absolutely nothing isn’t really my thing. That’s why I’m knitting some clothes for my teddy bear. The pants are almost finished🤗
