Yarn with sequins

I knitted a swatch for a children’s sweater.
You can barely see any sequins on the stockinette side.
They’re almost exclusively on the wrong side.
What am I doing wrong? Is there a special technique?
Maybe someone has a tip for me.

Hi... why don't you try knitting in garter stitch... I once knitted a dragon tail using sequined yarn as an accent... it turned out like this:



It’s worth a try 😉
