Here I’ll show you a few little animals you can make even with the tiniest scraps of yarn. They’re all very quick to crochet and are perfect as keychains or good-luck charms.

 
For a colorful little bird like this, all you need is a small scrap of yarn in your favorite color. The beak is cut out of felt, and the wings and little tail are matching feathers. If you want the bird to stand up, shape the little foot from floral wire. If they are hung up or used as keychains, you can leave out the foot.


 
Little colorful mice can also be crocheted quickly from tiny scraps. Give them as gifts together with a matching banknote! But your cats at home will also enjoy a mouse toy like this, especially if it’s filled with catnip.
