Terry Cloth + Plush

Dear users, dear authors,
Are terry cloth and plush both woven fabrics? There is also terry plush; is that possible? What is the difference compared to cotton plush?

Terrycloth is usually a woven fabric, and that’s where the pile is—the fuzzy part of terrycloth. With terrycloth, this pile isn’t cut open as it is with plush; instead, the little loops in the pile remain. That’s what makes terrycloth so soft and absorbent.
Plush is usually a knitted fabric, i.e. it is *knitted*, but there is also woven plush; it’s just not as stretchy as the knitted fabric.
With cotton plush, cotton fiber is used instead of the synthetic fiber used in *regular plush*. It is also more expensive than *synthetic-fiber plush*.
If you’re not sure which plush you have in front of you, do a burn test: sheep’s wool smells like horn when singed, cotton smells like paper, and synthetic fiber smells like burned plastic.
