Flea market bargain.... Die-cutting/embossing machine

Yesterday I was browsing at the flea market 😁 
I came across a box for a “Gemini Junior.” After a fairly long conversation, the nice lady offered me the thing for five euros. It apparently belonged to her mother, who now had to move out of her house... but unfortunately, the seller had no idea what it actually was (and to be honest, neither did I), which is probably why it was five euros 🤷 First came the question, “What would you give me for it?” and no, I didn’t name a price—I always find that kind of thing somehow “mean”; on the other hand, they could have looked it up beforehand.... Anyway. 
I now have this machine sitting here and had to realize that quite a bit is “missing” in order to use it. 
Does anyone have any idea where I can get these plates cheaply????? Online I’m only being shown the expensive ones for almost €50.... And I’d need the metal dies as well 🤷 but I’ve already found some really nice ones.... 
I’d be happy to hear any tips and tricks 😃

congratulations—that’s a mega bargain!

You can find affordable die-cuts at our Action store; it’s kind of like a 1-euro shop, just a bit pricier. ;-)
I saw some there for 2 euros.

Other than that, I haven’t looked into it any further yet—I’m a new Gemini owner myself. ;-)

Actually, I didn’t even need this thing—I already have a plotter here... At some point, I really do need to expand 😄
The great thing about the press is that I don’t need a PC or anything like that.... Let’s see if I can somehow get my hands on these plates. I’m sure I’ll find the user manual online somewhere—I hope.

I’m good with a lot of software, but I’m at war with the plotter software on my Cameo...

I want to use it and the Gemini to cut fabric for my patchwork projects. My Gemini cuts really well...

I agree with Chris—that’s a super-mega-awesome bargain😃. A machine like that costs about 150 € new. I saw them on QVC from Crafters Companion. But if I understand correctly, you don’t have to use the original plates and stencils... One tip that comes to mind is “Ideen mit Herz”—they also offer die-cutting machines and accessories; maybe you can find something affordable there.
@Chris... I follow the blog you mentioned; it inspired me to learn more about quilting and patchwork—I wouldn’t have thought it was so extensive and traditional.
Your blog is great—I’m already excited to see the final result.
