Unfortunately, today isn’t a holiday here in Berlin. I’m hard at work at the front desk of a government office, waiting for the weekend so I can finally pick up my hook again!

I have lots of new crochet ideas in my head, so I’m already making plans. Unfortunately, I’m not allowed to crochet here at work.

Back in high school, we were actually allowed to knit in class—I thought that was really great.

It’s a holiday here today, but as is almost always the case, it’s rainy. Since we retirees don’t really care about the day anyway, I’m going to take care of the laundry and housework today. But of course, there’s still time for my crochet hook—besides the temperature snake, I’m also working on a little elephant.
After that, I’ll use up the yarn I got for my birthday; I’ll be making these, but in turquoise:
