Advantages of Raglan / RVO / RVU?

Dear users, dear authors,
what advantages does raglan offer? When do you use raglan from the top / RVO, and when is raglan from the bottom / RVU better?

Since I’m short and stocky, RVO works better for me.

With RVO, I don’t have to sew anything and can adjust the garment to fit my size.

I also find RVO easier to work with.
Trying it on as you go is easy and helpful because you can adjust the measurements easily.
If you’re not sure whether you have enough yarn for a longer or just a shorter top, with RVO you can figure that out even while you’re knitting.

One advantage of the bottom-up raglan (RVU) is that you can knit the sleeves and the body separately and only join them together at the end, leaving you with one large piece on the needles.
