Schoolchildren 2024 / Kindergarten Children 2024

Dear users, dear authors,
Do you have a first-grader / a kindergarten child or a child changing schools this year? 

No kindergarteners or first-graders this year?

Oh, yes.
My granddaughter is starting school this year. :-)
Since she was born in September, she’ll be starting school at just 5 years old.
She’s really looking forward to it. 

My third grandchild is also starting school this year. Since they’re moving from the U.S. to Switzerland this fall, I don’t know how or where this big event will take place. In any case, there will be a special gift from Grandma for their first day of school in Switzerland.

Fortunately, I haven’t had a school-age child for years.

Our youngest is moving from the under-3 program to the over-3 group at daycare this year.
Our middle child is transferring from elementary school to high school.

We don’t have any first-graders, etc., anymore either—thank goodness, I’ll just say :-)
My youngest grandson will take his practical journeyman’s exam as a warehouse logistics specialist at the end of June; he passed the written exam with a grade of 2.
My youngest granddaughter is in 8th grade at a high school, so she still has a few years to go. The other three grandchildren are already firmly established in their careers.
