Roving yarn isn’t suitable for beginners because it’s very easy to split the yarn while crocheting or knitting.
Roving yarn isn’t twisted.

Roving yarn consists of a single thick strand and is not twisted. This makes it very soft and fluffy, but it also breaks easily. When knitting or crocheting, you need to make sure the tension isn’t too tight. It’s well-suited for felting.
