Briefly and concisely introduced...

So, my name is Karen and I live in Neumünster/S-H. Right now I’m marching through life with the 6th double-digit age 😊

My passion for "being creative" started very early, for example with the little animals you made out of acorns and chestnuts (of course Mom and/or Dad still had to help with that) or crafting with gold foil, which many of you have surely done too. Over time, lots more was added, including, for example, Window Color, which was a really big trend, and card making as well. I even learned to knit socks after all... unfortunately only a good 10 years ago, but still—every attempt before that failed miserably 🙄
I’m glad I found CP and am excited about the many wonderful, very detailed patterns; quite a few are already on my wish list 🥰

Right now patchwork is the thing; it’s supposed to become a shopping bag with a zipper—let’s see if that’s what it turns into 😁

If you want to know how to sew a zipper into a simple straight bag, check the sewing forum—I’ve posted a pattern there. The zipper can be sewn in with or without a lining.

Thanks for your welcome message... I’ve already found the pattern with the zipper, and let me put it this way: those zippers and I will never be friends, but we tolerate each other... sometimes sewing them in works out pretty well, and sometimes it just doesn’t really 😀

😃 Wow, Petra, you’re here early… Thank you and everyone else for the warm welcome—MERCI… And that’s exactly right, @ Monika—I’m in great company here; you discover so much and learn new things too… For example, until now I didn’t know there were half treble crochets, but then again, I’d never seen them in any pattern before.
The bag—hmm, yeah, it’s coming along, but very slowly. I’ll show it off in the sewing forum later 😊

Karen, I’ve also crocheted with half double crochets before. I’m sure there are plenty of patterns here that include them.
