No More Vampires + Now with a Zombie

Dear users, dear authors,
the author of Twilight has a new book, but there aren’t any vampires anymore; instead, it’s an agent thriller.
Who likes or hates Twilight and will definitely read / definitely not read the new book?
I wish Stephenie Meyer lots of success with the new book. It’s certainly not easy to get a new project off the ground after Twilight.

Well, where am I supposed to get my vampires from now?
There are a few vampires in the Crazypatterns shop; there may be even more before Halloween. @Authors, if you still want to upload patterns for that, please go ahead.

@Users
Halloween patterns—we have lots of them, and anyone who likes Halloween should slowly start making the patterns now. If you need beautiful Halloween decorations, you’ll have to get moving. :- )
But don’t let me pressure you. :- )

----------------------->>>Just as a little side tip:
Ghosts are always very popular for Halloween and in the middle of the pitch-dark night.
So please imagine the rattling chains and spooky screams yourself here; unfortunately the forum has no sound effects, and then click on the ghosts. They are totally lovely and cute and highly recommended to make. They have a chip bag too, which is totally in right now.

@Authors
If you’d like to promote vampires / Halloween etc., you’re welcome to do so here in the thread, with an image, link, and text, of course. Info about technique, material, difficulty level, and what’s special about the pattern should be included.

have fun, everyone :. )

and here are the zombies too
for all Walking Dead fans and, of course, for Halloween as well:

The selection of zombies on Crazypatterns is currently very manageable.

Maybe one or another author would like to upload a zombie?

I think the whole vampire thing has gradually bitten the dust. ;-)
Now zombies are in.

Personally, I never really got into the Twilight saga. I’m a big fan of vampire literature, but more of the truly great novels like Dracula or Interview with the Vampire.
I’m curious to see how Stephenie Meyer’s new book is received....

I haven’t read the Twilight books, and after watching the first one on TV, I didn’t watch the rest either. I guess I’m just past the age for teen movies.

Although I did take a look just now, because my son came to me yesterday asking for a cool bracelet—one with bats, so the whole vampire theme was actually perfect.
And to think, I can’t stand Halloween. But kids often have a different opinion than I do, and I’m happy to make these things for him.

And getting back to the author. Spy thrillers are more my thing than vampires, and if she lets that much imagination flow into them, that would be more up my alley.
I also wish her every success, because I don’t imagine life as an author to be all that easy (I’m barely managing to string sentences together myself...).

At the general request of one single person, I’ve added a zombie above.
Yeah, well, I know, *The Walking Dead* is very popular right now. But, dear authors, you’ll need to add a few more.
We don’t have enough zombies in the shop — that’s not enough for the apocalypse — and Crazypatterns can’t take part in *The Walking Dead* just yet.

@Josefa
That zombie is so cute. ;-)
I think I need to give that some thought too and maybe design a biter or two—that’s what the zombies are called on TWD. ;-)
Or how about making the humans as crochet figures for once?
Personally, I’m a fan of Daryl with his crossbow. ;-)

I thought the Twilight books were great, and also the book "The Host" by Stephenie Meyer. In my opinion, though, the movie adaptation ruined everything.

I still read vampire books, my favorites are the "Black Dagger" series by J.R. Ward.

Zombies really aren’t my thing at all, but you don’t have to follow every trend.

I'm bumping this thread back up so the Halloween topic gets some attention. Anyone who still wants to make spooky decorations should get started soon.

How about this? Sweet + cute + with a pumpkin, and a great decorative highlight even without Halloween. Make it now.

Unfortunately, for Halloween I can only offer you this pendant. But next year there will be more; this year, Christmas is more of the focus.

Here comes a skeleton keychain for Halloween. Whether it’s meant to be a cute, um, spooky little gift to bring to a party, for a
special person who likes bone men, or for the dear little
ghosts who ring the doorbell on Halloween instead of candy.
Many people will enjoy it.

The pattern is also well suited for beginners, and the
amount of material needed is limited, because you only need a few
small bits of leftover yarn:

1) A 3.0 mm crochet hook

2) Leftover Schachenmayr Barvo white and a strand of black

3) Key ring, if it is to be used as a keychain or gift tag
