Despite the color combinations shown here and others you’ll find under “Product Photos,” the design possibilities for these little bags are far from exhausted. Use photo cardstock in your favorite colors to craft a small gift bag that’s just the way you like it!

The bags measure approximately 10.5 x 8.5 x 4.5 cm. They’re perfect for small gifts like lucky charms, jewelry, keychains, and the like, and are very easy to make.

Imaginative crafting - to me, that also means bringing in your own ideas. When crocheting hand puppets for a Punch and Judy show , that works perfectly. You can follow the pattern, but when it comes to the puppet’s hairstyles, clothing, and facial expression, you can be guided entirely by your own ideas.

In my shop, you’ll find a whole range of crochet patterns for hand puppets. I designed them for small children’s hands. If you’d like them a little bigger, simply crochet a few more stitches for the costume.

This project is also a great way to use leftover yarn.

What does your Gretel look like? Mine has a braided updo and wears a red dirndl with a blue apron.

If Gretel is wearing a dirndl, then her friend Seppel must, of course, wear “Seppel pants” and a “Seppel hat”, that is, lederhosen and a traditional hat. The checked shirt goes well with them.

And Grandma? Mine looks a lot like my own grandma. She liked to wear dresses with ruffles, wore glasses, and had her hair tied in a bun. But maybe your grandma looks completely different?

With this pencil holder, you can really get creative! It can be changed a lot, and not just in terms of color and pattern: The pencil holder can also be expanded with additional compartments, made smaller by removing several compartments, or simply assembled differently.

Give it a try and choose the version that perfectly suits your needs.

The pencil holder is made from photo cardstock and measures 20.5 x 9 x 12 cm. It is very easy to recreate, but some experience crafting similar objects would be a great advantage.

The paper pattern I used for decorating is included as a free PDF file.
