I can’t seem to find my way around the featured patterns anymore.
When I click on one, for example, the designer’s name isn’t listed anywhere. Before, there used to be something like “more from this designer” under each pattern, and I could see what else I might like. I don’t see any of that anymore. AND I can’t click on customers’ product photos anywhere—that option isn’t even in the menu anymore; it just says “upload.”
I have no idea if it’s because I’m viewing this on my phone or if something has actually been changed here?
Either way, it’s no fun.
Anja, you’re right—it doesn’t work on other devices either. A lot has changed. I don’t like it either.
How are we supposed to view customer photos now—only in the gallery? I haven’t found a way to do it yet.
That’s really unfortunate. I love looking at other customers’ creations; those photos often inspire me to buy a pattern and make it myself.
And when I finally finish something, I want to proudly show off my work, too. If no one can see it anymore or shower it with praise, that’s basically joy lost...
I hope this gets changed back.
I just read through one of my reviews where I wrote “Photo of my work in the product images,” and now they’re not even there anymore. Customer photos are also advertising for the designer.
And then I go to the trouble of taking the photos, then I have to compress them separately with an app because not every photo size works here, I put time into it, look forward to nice compliments from others who see my pictures—and now, nothing.
That seems to be your designer forum; I can’t get in there.
I understand Marlene’s point. First the self-promotion, and then “similar items” further down.
And as a regular customer, I’d like to see photos—as I said—linked to the patterns, not just browse through the gallery. There’s way too much in between that doesn’t interest me at all.
I just read that and took a look....
Nope, I really don’t like this at all.
When you click on the pattern, at least the designer’s name should be listed there too...
I’d also like to see the designer’s other creations. If I’m specifically looking for jackets or something like that, I type that into the search bar at the top.
And I just like browsing “a” shop by a designer because I like their style or I’m simply curious about what else has been designed.
And I also think the product photos from customers are very important. For me, they’re often the deciding factor in whether I buy or not....
And putting patterns from other designers directly below a description you’ve just discovered for yourself...
Especially since the “advertising for other shops” feature already exists in the dashboard. First there are things from the saved authors and then underneath “you might also like”...
Putting that directly below another pattern/description isn’t fair to the author, in my opinion....
“Stupid idea,” sorry
I always thought CP was so nicely organized, please change it back
I don’t like it—it’s hard to find your way around anymore. When I want to look at a designer’s patterns and suddenly see patterns by other designers instead, that’s really confusing. Why do they always have to try to “improve” things that work just fine, only to end up ruining everything?
@vera_schulze_14
That’s what we authors are wondering, too. Even our names have disappeared from our pattern pages. So now, when you click on a pattern, it no longer says anywhere who created it. That really upsets us...
Yeah, exactly—I’ve noticed that too. I don’t like it this way either.
Before, for example, you’d click on a pattern, and the author’s name would appear right away, or the shop would show up below the pattern. Now you have to click back first. It’s really cumbersome.
I hope the page design goes back to the “old” one. Thanks in advance to Crazypatterns.
I thought the old layout was much better, too. Yeah, and why does everything that works well always have to be changed? I’d rather spend my time doing crafts than clicking around on the internet.
Test is over.....
Now it’s almost back to how it was before..... The designer’s patterns are back below the instruction text, and if you scroll further down, “What else might interest you” appears.
Very nice....
I didn’t even check the pictures just now.
🤔 And I don’t think the name is there either—just below the text, because of the shop…
I’ll take another look.
...if only you could go directly to the customer photos for the pattern via the “Gallery”... 🤷
Or if you could pin the photos to the review...
As it is, the photos are just lost in the “depths of the gallery”...
For me, the customer photos were a guide in deciding whether or not to buy a pattern.
Above all, customer photos are also a way of showing appreciation for the designers!
Are we now supposed to message the designer and point out the gallery?
The three free patterns on the homepage were also always a great help in making a decision. Thanks to those patterns, I’ve discovered designers I hadn’t necessarily had on my radar, and I’ve realized that I can’t get the hang of some designers’ patterns without spending money first.
Maybe instead of this failed test, CP should have kept working on folders in the wishlist and for downloads. Listen to customer requests instead of upsetting customers.
Another new thing... The reviews now also show, for example, English reviews...
So if you offer many languages, you’ll have a lot more reviews...
I was actually just wondering how a pattern ended up with over 100 reviews... That’s usually pretty rare, at least among the ones I’ve been keeping an eye on.
Customer photos can be displayed again for a product. There’s a “Customer Photos” tab above the product image. However, it’s only available for products that actually have customer photos.
