Beginner-friendly patterns for scraps you can make while watching TV

here in this thread there is room for patterns you can make while watching TV that are also doable for beginners and with scraps. Have fun making them.

This loop made from sock yarn is perfect for knitting with leftover yarn, even for beginners with basic skills. It features a simple lace pattern and makes a welcome accessory, even for cool summer days.

The colorful mice are super easy to crochet—you can even make them on the side. All you need is a small leftover bit of colorful cotton yarn. Give the little mice together with a money gift (everyone can use some “mice,” after all) or fill them with catnip, and you’ll have a great toy for your house cats!

When you can sit outside in the garden again, these fruit coasters are especially practical. They have a small hole in the middle that fits a straw perfectly. That way, you can also use them as covers for drinks. And if you make them a little larger (just crochet a few more rounds) and add a hanger, you can also use them as potholders.
