Mermaids and Unicorns: Craft Popular Mythical Creatures + Fairy-Tale Characters Now

Mermaid Marina is about 40 cm tall when stretched out. Chenille wire is worked into her arms and fish tail so you can bend her. I crocheted Marina from acrylic yarn (Rico Baby Glitz and Rico Baby Classic). Marina is suitable as a cuddly doll, but also looks good in maritime decor.


There are fairy-tale characters among my hand puppets, too. Wizard Merlin can be a good or evil character, depending on the play. In any case, he is very old and knows a lot of magic spells. Has he enchanted you too? Then get the crochet pattern right away and crochet him yourself!

Mermaids and unicorns are still all the rage, especially among girls. These two scarves are therefore right up the little ladies’ alley :-)

Both scarves are knitted using the double-faced technique, so the motif appears on both sides, just mirrored and in reversed colors. Plus, the double knitting makes the scarf extra dense and warm. The knitting technique is explained in detail in an accompanying basics course.

My mermaid is named Aquarella and lives in the depths of the ocean. She loves to race the colorful fish. With a little luck, you might spot her on the horizon when her fins glisten in the sun.
