Double knitting pattern scarf "Magic Seaworld"

A scarf doesn’t necessarily need to have a winter design – let’s dream of wild adventures undersea! For young children I recommend the keyhole version as described in detail in this pattern. For older children or adults you can work the scarf longer and without keyhole.

This scarf is knitted in the double knitting technique. Thus, it is extra soft and warm, and it looks beautiful on both sides.

Required skills: double knitting in general

You will get three separate pdf documents:

• general instructions on how to knit the scarf
• knitting charts Part A and Part B for the motif

skills level: advanced

Gauge 25 stitches x 34 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4“ x 4“)

Size of the scarf will be approx. 14 cm x 82 cm.

Please note : If you have a different gauge, the size of the finished scarf will be different, too!

• Phildar Caresse (154 m / 50 gr) in blue and yellow, about 60 gr per colour for the scarf as shown; if you work the scarf longer, you will need more yarn accordingly
  Yarn alternatives e.g. Lang Yarns Merino 150, Austermann Merino or any soft yarn with about 150-170 m / 50 gr
• 2 x circular needle 3 mm
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors
