Do you currently have lots of scraps, or did you use them all up for Christmas?

Dear users, dear authors,
do you currently have lots of scraps, or did you use everything up for the Christmas patterns? Do you already know what you’d like to make with your scraps, or are you still looking for suitable ideas? Or do the scraps need to “sit for a while” before you can use them? Let me know.

Tip: If you craft affordable patterns from the SALE or free patterns using scraps and use the store credit account discount for them, you can make lots of crafts affordably.

You never run out of scraps, Josefa—on the contrary, the more scraps I use up, the more I get the feeling that these scraps in the box are having babies :-))));-))) It’s the same with yarn—I’m never completely without yarn lying around either; something new always seems to show up, from wherever ;-) :-)

Best wishes, Inge

Thanks to the crochet Advent calendar, I’ve accumulated quite a bit of yarn again. If it gets to be too much for me, I’ll list a box of leftover yarn on a swap site; otherwise, I always like to keep a certain amount on hand so I can bring spontaneous ideas to life right away.
A friend has already asked for some Easter bunnies, so I’ll be able to put some of my leftover yarn to good use there.

You usually end up with leftover yarn, so the leftover box never really empties.

For my last two projects, I had 250 grams of yarn in stock and used up absolutely every last bit of it. But that’s actually pretty rare.

The scrap box is one of those things where I always feel like the contents multiply on their own, even without me doing anything. Somehow, it’s never been completely empty.

I still have some small scraps, too. But they’re no longer enough for the ever-growing crochet rounds of my mosaic blanket.
A kind forum member was able to help out, so now I can keep working on it. Thank you.

You’re welcome....

My “scraps” are slowly dwindling.... I still have a box of sock yarn—hand-dyed.... I don’t want to give them away—not yet, anyway. Actually, I don’t really have any idea what I want to make with them right now. I have 70–90 g of some, and the smallest ones are 20 g. Anything “less than that” has already been used up.
I’m working hard on “cleaning out”....
Besides running half a yarn shop, I could also open a bookstore.... Sooooo many books, a lot of them in English.... I have storage shelves under my bed....and I actually just wanted to find one specific one 🙈 I’d forgotten how many can fit on a shelf like that—it’s unbelievable....

@steffi: Are those crochet books (in English)?

Yarn, fabric, paper, modeling clay, baking ingredients, beads… leftovers are everywhere. And I have a few more sources like that as well.

Is it ever possible to use up all your leftovers?
I’ve tried several times, but I’ve never really succeeded.
Right now, though, I’ve got my stash of leftovers pretty well under control—I usually have a storage problem.

You can never have enough leftover yarn 😅

Since I usually work with the same yarn weight, I wind up my leftover yarn into balls, and then I turn them into something really colorful.
