I took a picture while I was sewing diamonds onto my husband’s toiletry bag to show how the ruler is used; I think you can see very clearly how the ruler runs along the previous seam

Is there something like this for every sewing machine? I’m not even sure if mine has one.

Actually, this tool comes with every sewing machine—I even had it with my old Privileg, which I bought in the early ’80s. It’s part of the basic equipment for a sewing machine

I’ll have to check if mine comes with that. There were so many accessories that I didn’t know what to do with.

In your photo, dear Inge, you can clearly see that the new seams run beautifully parallel using the edge guide. You couldn’t do that freehand at all.

My sewing machine doesn’t have an accessory like that, anyway.
