I wish you a wonderful weekend, a lovely New Year’s Eve in good company, and of course a Happy New Year. Do you have any New Year’s resolutions?

The weekend and New Year’s Eve will be quiet here; we don’t really celebrate it much anymore.
It’s sunny and mild here—it’s hard to believe spring isn’t here yet. I’m already done with the really cold weather.
New Year’s resolutions? Of course! Definitely stay fit and healthy! :-) No, I haven’t made any specific plans—just keep doing what I’ve been doing, and things will work out.
Well, maybe I could try to get my crocheted creatures out there; there are more and more of them, so I’ll have to look into that.

Thanks, Josefa, and I’d also like to wish everyone here a Happy New Year and a great start to the year. What I wish for everyone—and also for my family and myself—is that we stay healthy, because that’s the greatest gift we have. Other than that, I’m not making any New Year’s resolutions, because things usually turn out differently than you expect anyway. :-) ;-)

That’s right, Inge, health is very important; without it, nothing works. After all, we want to enjoy crafting, feel well-rested, be curious about new patterns, and be there for our children and parents for as long as we can.

We don’t set ourselves any big goals anymore, more like smaller things, such as a river cruise we want to take in May/June (it’s been on our list for a while), or maybe a short city break when I have a week off in January. That’s already a highlight for us and pure relaxation.

It’s often the little things in life that can bring joy too. Just make the best of it; life is too short to spend too long thinking things over. I used to think differently about this, but now that I’m older, you should be able to do what you feel like doing and have the energy for. It could all be over tomorrow.
