A wonderful shawl for summer is my crocheted "Prom Night" model

It is crocheted from the bottom up, and thanks to the cotton yarn it’s a constant companion for me during the warmer season. 

The stitches used are double crochet, chain stitches, single crochet, and slip stitches. 

Sponge yarn is a synthetic yarn that can be used to crochet beautiful, colorful dish or bath sponges that are machine-washable at 60° and dry quickly.
How about giving one of these hand-crocheted bath sponges as a Christmas gift (perhaps paired with some scented shower gel)?


If you give a “Lucky Beetle” shower sponge like this, you can also use it to convey your New Year’s greetings. You’ll need less than half a ball of each color.



You can use the rest of the red and black sponge yarn to crochet this cute little cleaning devil. It’s great for washing dishes and wiping away dried-on food scraps in the kitchen.




And if you have a tiny bit of sponge yarn left over, you can use it to decorate doll clothes or, as shown here, as a border for the coats of hand puppets. The angel and devil hand puppets  were crocheted entirely from leftover yarn. The devil’s coat has a border made of red sponge yarn, while the angel’s is light blue.

I love crocheting with gradient yarns. It keeps crocheting from getting boring, and you always look forward to seeing the effect of a newly starting color. There are no color breaks and no knots. We can craft in a completely relaxed, continuous way.

Endless Blanket with Bobbel

I crocheted a Bobbel with a gentle color gradient. You can make the blanket as large as you want, or as large as your Bobbel allows—that’s why it’s called the “Endless Blanket.” 

Gradient yarn with a medium or long color gradient is perfect for the “Altaira” shawl pattern.



Altaira is a star-shaped shawl made using Tunisian crochet. You can crochet it as a semicircle or a three-quarter circle in any size you like.
