Have you ever thought about crocheting a temperature blanket? It’s an exciting project that will keep you busy for a whole year without stressing you out. After all, you only crochet one row each day. You can do that every day, for example, while watching the news. The color pattern develops completely at random, depending on the temperature of each day.

You choose the colors for specific temperature ranges yourself. I chose shades of blue for cold temperatures and shades of red for warm temperatures. Above you can see the temperature blanket for the year 2021 as an example.

Once you have a cozy blanket to snuggle under at the end of the year, you might also want to crochet a practical reading bone to go with it, so you can support your head comfortably.

A reading bone like this is a type of neck pillow for reading. But you don’t necessarily have to place it under your neck; it’s useful for supporting your body in all kinds of positions so you can read comfortably. The reading bone consists of 3 identical pieces that are very easy to crochet, so you can easily work on it while watching TV. This is also a great way to use up leftover yarn.

A baby will be cuddly warm in these leggings made from sock yarn. They are also very comfortable, and even the thickest diaper fits inside. The mother of my granddaughters was absolutely delighted.

The leggings grow with the baby very well for quite some time and are easy to knit.

To the knitting pattern

Once you’ve gotten started, the Sula triangular shawl is a lovely project for a cozy evening in front of the TV.

The shawl is crocheted from the bottom up, and the pattern repeats over just one row. 

My reversible cowl Sofia can be worn on both sides and is knitted using only knit and purl stitches.
All you need is 100 g of yarn with a yardage of 320 m per 100 g. The pattern is absolutely TV-friendly.

The knitted neck warmer Rakas is made with 150 g of yarn with a yardage of 200 m per 100 g.
It can be worn in many different ways, so I didn’t sew it together, but fastened it with a shawl pin. The TV-friendly pattern of knit and purl stitches is also shown as a chart.
