We don’t have any plans, since I have to work anyway. I changed jobs, and today was my
first day on the job. It was very relaxed—no stress at all.

We’re totally in Advent mode

Tonight, Christmas dinner with the family at the Thai restaurant, just like every December; tomorrow, the Christmas market with lots of handmade crafts with my friend; and on Sunday, as every year, Advent coffee at my mother-in-law’s. 

Have a wonderful Advent weekend, everyone. It’s been snowing here all day, but not much has stuck yet.

You ask what we’re planning, ;-) for me it’s a shirt and pants :-))) because without them it would be a bit chilly right now :-)))))
But I still want to let the embroidery machine chug along a bit; I need a few more things from the embroidery machine

The apartment is all decorated, and I’ve already done my weekend shopping (goodness, was it crowded today—did I miss something?). Tomorrow evening, I’m going with a friend to the regulars’ table Christmas party, which includes a goose dinner, and I don’t even have to drive—how great is that?
And in the Advent calendar was the first skein of yarn and the first installment of the pattern for the Mystery Cal., so there’s still plenty to knit, in addition to the temperature blanket and the knitted mice.

I’ve put up a few decorations here—keeping it very subtle this year.
I went shopping yesterday, too, but there was hardly anyone around. What’s going on over there, Veronika?
My son is coming over tomorrow for Advent coffee, so I’ll be baking a few cookies today. 

We’re completely snowed in here. Everyone is being advised to stay home...
So: make yourselves comfortable, eat some cookies, and, of course, do some crafts.

I wish you all a magical, wintry First Sunday of Advent.
It’s beautifully snowy here. I’m enjoying the white splendor—though I prefer to do so by looking out at my winter garden. Since we’re no longer allowed to spread salt, the paths under the snow are very icy. It’s quite slippery out there—you really need soles with good traction.

We can’t compete in terms of quantity, but at least it actually snowed a little in Cologne too—that’s sensational enough. And my geraniums love it, too!
